Kestrel:  co-founder of Elemental Belly Dance and one of the founders of Midnight Flame Belly Dance has been dancing as both a soloist and troupe  performer since 2004. She first saw belly dance in Southern California at the LA County Fair when she was 16 and has been in love with it ever since.  She still calls it one of the most beautiful, sensual things that she has ever seen. Kestrel brings a natural athleticism to her performances and an engaging playfulness. Versatility is key to a good performer and Kes can dance as easily to the driving rhythms of a drum solo as she can to the sweeping grace of the veil and can freelance to nearly any kind of music: traditional & contemporary Middle Eastern, new age, rock, pop or 70's funk.  Her dance style is best described as cabaret fusion. Her favorite props are the veil and sword.
